Public Skating

THE FINE PRINT Depending on  the ice conditions, a 10-15 minutes ice resurfacing with our Zamboni may take place during a session. No skaters are allowed on the ice when it is being  resurfaced. Please always wear your skating pass sticker where it can be easily seen. Skaters are all asked to skate in the same direction around the  rink. Please keep moving at all times and listen to the Skate Guard. Please  do not hold hands in-groups more than two. Anyone caught throwing snowballs  will be asked leave with no refund. Please do not deliberately fall and slide  across the ice as you may injure other skaters. *Skate At your own risk*

Answers to Common Questions

• The rink temperature is anywhere from 55-65 degrees all year round. You should take this into account and dress appropriately (in layers if necessary). If you require gloves or socks our proshop would be more than happy to accommodate you.
• Wearing a helmet is not required, but is recommended for children and even adults. You standard bicycle helmet can fill this role just fine!
• Children can generally begin skating after they are comfortable walking. Clearwater Ice Arena does not however impose an age limit, and can also supply gliders to assist novice skaters (6 and under) for a nominal fee.
• Our skate sizes range all the way from youth 8 to adult 14! Skate sharpening for personal skates is offered as a separate service from our proshop daily.
• Food is available from our snack bar during any and all public sessions and group events!
